Itinerary at a Glance

Day 01 -Sunday-Madrid
Time to rest or to start exploring the city. At 6 p.m. meet with of our tour director and traveling companion to take a welcome drink. Overnight at hotel

Day 02 - Monday - Madrid
Breakfast and overnight at hotel. Morning guided city tour, we will visit panoramically some of its main avenues and monumental fountains (Cibeles, Neptuno), as well as the always busy Plaza Mayor (main square) and the old town. We will visit inside the Royal Palace with the largest collection on the world of historical tapestry and splendid historical watches. Rest of day at leisure

Day 03 - Tuesday - Madrid - Toledo - Cordoba
Breakfast. It was the capital and Royal residence in the middle ages and in XIIIth century the Moslems, the Jewish, and the Christians lived peacefully together flourishing as a great culture and monumental center. We will enjoy walking along its narrow streets where the history can be felt in the air. Morning guided city tour, we will visit the Cathedral, St tome Church (where is El Greco painter’s masterpiece) and the Synagogue. Afternoon directly Departure along the flat region of “La Mancha’, the Don Quixote’s scenario Dinner and overnight at hotel

Day 04 - Wednesday - Cordoba - Carmona - Sevilla
Breakfast. The town was important in Roman age, but during the Moslem period in particular IX and Xth centuries, when Cordoba became the capital of Caliphate and the most populated in the world (near 1 million). Morning guided city tour, to visit the Mosque, considered as the nicest among the historical mosques. Then a walk on the Jewish Quarter, with its fresh narrow streets and Andalusian "patios", where we will find one of the few perfectly preserved Synagogues in Spain. Short stop in one of the most characteristic Andalusian village, free time to walk along the narrow street in the maze of white painted walls of the house, full of flowers hanging in the windows. Dinner with Paella (the most reputed Spanish dish internationally) in Restaurant. Overnight at hotel

Day 05 - Thursday - Sevilla
Breakfast and overnight at hotel. Morning guided tour to visit inside the Gothic Cathedral with Columbus’ tomb, the largest cathedral in Spain and third on the world, with the Giralda tower (striking minaret of the former mosque). Then a walk by Santa Cruz Quarter, a maze of small alleys with colorful names stepped in legend and small squares with the peacefulness of a tiny garden is an invitation to have a rest. Afternoon at leisure. Dinner in restaurant based on Tapas (many little portions with Spanish specialties, a traditional way to dine by Spaniards) with drinks and Flamenco show.

Day 06 - Friday - Sevilla - Jerez - Ronda - Granada
Breakfast. Departure to Jerez de la Frontera Stop to visit a sherry wine cellar with a taste. Sherry is the best well known Spanish wine abroad, and a big part of economy in the town and surroundings is in relation with its production. Continue along the called ‘ROUTE OF THE WHITE VILLAGES’ (Arcos de la Frontera, Grazalema,...). All in this mountainous area were in the warlike border between Christian and Muslim kingdoms for more than 3 centuries (XIII to XVth). Fact that conditioned its physiognomy: Castle over the hill, and down in the hill side, the bright white houses with narrow and labyrinth streets. The route is full of fantastic panoramic sights. In an impressive location, a sheer cleft of over 300 ft. called El Tajo splits the town. Free time to visit the bullring, built in 1784, totally of stone, which is considered one of the eldest and nicest in Spain. Walking for the old town, we will find nice palaces and some magnificent views over countryside Dinner and overnight at hotel

Day 07 - Saturday - Granada - Madrid
Breakfast and overnight at hotel. Morning guided city tour, to visit La Alhambra, the best example of the sophisticate royal life in the Nazari Islamic kingdom in XIVth century. We will find numerous halls and "patios" (courtyards) of amazing beauty. We will also visit the famous and beautiful Generalife gardens with its fountains. Afternoon directly departure to Overnight at hotel

Day 08 - Sunday - Madrid
Breakfast. End of the tour.
