Optional Excursions

Our tours are carefully planned to offer you a comfortable balance of sightseeing, entertainment, and leisure time. Experience shows, however, that many travelers like to use their free time to make one or more additional excursions. The optional excursions we offer for the Rome, Paris & London Tour are listed below along with approximate prices and times, as well as the cities from which they are operated. Detailed descriptions of the specific excursions for your tour will also be sent with your Trip Documents Packet.

Optional Excursions must be booked with and paid to your tour manager in Europe. Prices are in American Dollars, and you may pay with US Dollars in cash or with credit card (only VISA, Mastercard and Discover are accepted). If you pay by credit card, you must be able to present the actual card to the tour manager. Please note that personal checks and traveler's checks are not accepted. Operation of all excursions is subject to sufficient participation, and some excursions are dependent on favorable weather conditions. Your tour manager reserves the right to make changes to or cancel these excursions at his/her sole discretion.

Vatican Museums & Sistine Chapel - 1:30 p.m.-8:00 p.m. in Rome US$90
At Vatican City, see St. Peter's Basilica and the Vatican Museums with commentary provided by a local guide. The Sistine Chapel, with frescoes of the Last Judgement and the magnificent frescoed ceiling by Michelangelo, will be one of the highlights of your Rome visit.

Swiss Mountain - 9:00 a.m.-12:00 noon from Lucerne, US$75
Get ready for a breathtaking experience. Climb to the summit of Mount Stanserhorn by both cogwheel rail and cable care. At the top, enjoy the panorama on the terrace of the mountaintop restaurant, take a walk along the mountain paths, and capture the magnificent vistas on film.

Swiss Lake Boat Ride & Dinner - 6:00 p.m.-11:00 p.m. from Swiss Lake Region hotel, US$100
Board a steamer for a scenic cruise on one of the region's tranquil lakes. After the cruise, enjoy a lake fish dinner at a cozy family-owned restaurant in a mountain village.

La Nouvelle Eve Champagne Show - 9:00 p.m.-12:30 p.m. in Paris, US$130
If you've dreamed of indulging in the Parisian nightlife, this is your opportunity. A glass of champagne is included during the late night show at 'La Nouvelle Eve' nightclub. Sit back and thrill at the colorful and spectacular revue with dancing and singing by performers in beautiful risque costumes.

Seine River Cruise & The Eiffel Tower - 9:00 a.m.-11:30a.m. in Paris, US$65
Enjoy a ride on the Seine River, while feasting your eyes on landmarks such as Musee d'Orsay, Palais Royal, Notre Dame Cathedral, and the Louvre. Following the boat ride, take an elevator to the first level of the Eiffel Tower for a spectacular view of Paris.

Louvre Museum - 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. in Paris, US$85
The Louvre Museum houses over 35,000 works of art displayed over 60,000 square meters. A guide or an audio phone system will help you navigate this overwhelming collection by directing you to a special selection of admired masterpieces, while providing background information.

Paris Evening - 7:00 p.m.-10:30 p.m. in Paris, US$105
Your French cuisine experience at a true French Bistro is accompanied by lively music. After dinner, take a roundabout route back to the hotel, affording you some lovely impressions of one of the world's most celebrated cities.

Tower of London - 1:30 p.m.-4:00 p.m. in London, US$85
The Tower of London is a focal point and icon of England's capital city. Your tour manager or audio phones will guide you through this imposing fortress which was built by William the Conqueror. Capture one of the famed 'Beefeaters' an film and admire the Crown Jewels.
